Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette Review & Wear Test

I got the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette as an early Christmas present from my ever supportive partner. We purchased it from Sephora.ph for P3900 but in the US it retails for $62. The palette claims to “create the perfect light to filter out harsh light and refine the appearance of the complexion.” The palette has three shades inside: Dim Light, Incandescent Light, and Radiant Light.

Verdict: Worth the splurge if you can afford to get something simply for photos and videos. It’s not a value for money product nor is it a necessity. But it makes your skin look amazing in photos and videos while keeping the skin looking real and skin-like in person. The effect isn’t visible with the naked eye so if you’re someone who loves their makeup really evident, you might end up only liking Incandescent Light. In that case, you might prefer to get that as a single instead. It’s one of the best highlighters I’ve ever tried but it has glitter. My favorite out of all the three shades is Dim Light. It’s practically invisible but it sets your base while adding a subtle glow. It doesn’t create any white cast and it doesn’t cause flashback.
